Whispers Artworks By Richard Harold

Richard Harold is a young, up and coming Sydney artist and presents his interesting and thought provoking chess series of paintings in “Whispers of the Real Heart”.
Having started painting in 2004 Richard has forged through the art world in amazingly short period of time. Holding his first Solo exhibition in Sydney in 2006, His artwork published in two books in 2006-07 and looks to make headway into the European and American Art scene in 2008-09, Richard is truly an artist to be watched in the future.
A background in Design and Architectural Drafting has given Richard a good fundamental appreciation of space and colour, thus producing bold images that catch the eye.
Richard’s paintings can be interpreted several different ways, for that reason he does not name many of them. “I feel my best statement is made with paint not words” Richards’ perception is that as soon as a painting is labelled, that is what it becomes. "I wish not to manipulate the viewer into my world but ask them to experience their own."
Richard is evolving constantly and feels a pull towards surreal and modern art. "I find my subject these days to be very broad and I am able to express myself on canvas without the boundaries of rules. I wish my paintings to speak to the viewer with an interesting familiarity". Richard believes in pushing himself as a painter both technically and mentally. His career is both exciting and unlimited in its potential!
“Including my artwork with Gaz’s poetry was not a decision, it was a moment, and you are now part of that moment”
